| | General Plan Economic Analysis for Scottsdale | |
|
| | (March 2010) Phoenix-based Applied Economics is heading up a team that includes Chabin Concepts to conduct a General Plan Economic Analysis for the City of Scottsdale.
Scottsdale has earned a prominent position in the Greater Phoenix market for quality development, not only for office and technology companies, but also for tourism venues and events, such as The Waste Management Phoenix Open. This project will provide guidance for long term land use planning and economic development strategies for the City of Scottsdale. The outcomes of the study will also be useful as input to the General Plan update in 2011. In addition to standard data benchmarking, there will be a fiscal impact analysis of development as well as recommendations for target industry sectors.
Results will show: - How professional site location consultants rank the community
- The City’s state of readiness for its target industries
- What limitations exist in Scottsdale and in specific sub-areas of the city that would result in refining the list of target industries
