Lake Havasu City completed its two-year effort to achieve America's Best Communities designation with a $2 million second place prize.
According to KAWC, "The competition was a three year ten million dollar community revitalization campaign. It was sponsored by Frontier Communications, Dish Network, CoBank and The Weather Channel. Nearly 350 communities entered the competition. The field was first narrowed to fifty in the quarterfinals, fifteen in the semifinals, finally pared down to eight finalists.”
Chabin helped them articulate their economic development plan for an earlier round of the challenge. Clearly, they've got what it takes.
